Finding the right floor for your home

What are my options? The options and variations are vast. The main factors to consider are:

Wood – Most of our flooring is French oak. We offer 5 grades in oak, Quarter Sawn, Prime, Bis, Rustic and Chablis. The grade determines how uniformed the wood will be and the amount of knots the wood will contain. We also offer a wide range of other woods with walnut and teak being two of the favourites

Laying pattern – You can select straight planks with a number of different widths and bevel options. Also we can install patterns such as herringbone, basketweave, chevron and Versailles to name a few.

Boarders – Selecting a boarder to enhance the floor is a great option. We many different designs from a simple one or two strip boarder, 2 block boarder and we can do something extra special.

Finish – Oil or lacquer is where the choice starts. Both have their advantages so make sure to carefully consider what finish is best for you. (Make sure to read our Blog to help you with this). We also offer a wide range of colours. We can create colour samples to make sure we find exactly what it is you like. Imagine colour charts for paint, we can create the same with wood finishes.
